Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Malaysia, has undertaken the construction of an Education and a Dialysis Centre at the cost of RM35million and RM25 million, respectively.
Each of these centres stand on an area of 1.5acres. In fact, the Education centre began construction in 2011 and is expected to be completed by 2014, while work on the Dialysis Centre only commenced in July 2012, with expected date of completion in June to September, 2013.
With a built-up area of 73,980 sq. ft in 6 storeys, the dialysis centre will house 108 dialysis machines to help more poor and needy patients with free dialysis. Out of the 680 dialysis centres in Malaysia, Tzu-Chi Dialysis Centre is the only one which is completely free in terms of dialysis, EPO injection, blood tests and regular specialist check-up for all patients irrespective of race, religion or creed.
The Education Centre incorporates Tzu-Chi Kindergarten, School of Humanities, Teachers Association, Centre for Continuing Education as well as Tzu-Chi Collegiate Youths. With its wide range of activities, Tzu-Chi endeavours to nurture both talents and culture.
